February 7, 2020 By Christine

Thank you to the Morning Call for sponsoring the “Be An Angel Program” and featuring the Krysta Hankee Memorial Fund. This initiative lasted from December through January. Participating non-profits in the area, are able to submit a wish list and the Morning Call publishes all of the items from non-profits.  We had a great response and are so very thankful for all the donations!  Just in the last few days, we have been notified about several families in need of support. Heartfelt thanks to those of you that supported this initiative, for being an Angel and giving hope to those in need. Alice’s New Ride

November 21, 2019 By Christine

The Krysta Hankee Memorial Fund was able to purchase a second tryke as the result of a golf outing held at Whitetail Golf Club this summer. Alice was so happy to get her new tryke and helmet! We want to thank the golfers who participated in this event and to Brad Paukovits and the Whitetail staff for their support. Also thanks to Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza for donating wings as a tasty treat. Pictured are: Alice, her parents, brother and Bill and Chris Hankee. Tryke selection and fitting were coordinated by
The Lehigh Valley Steel Force Friends Chapter of National AMBUCS.

PARTNERSHIPS COUNT

November 21, 2019 By Christine

The Krysta Hankee Memorial Fund recently had the pleasure to celebrate our partnership with Lehigh Valley Educators Credit Union members and administrators by purchasing an adaptive tryke and helmet for Shehab. Therapists at St. Luke’s Pediatric Physical Therapy work with him on his new specialized tryke and he is learning to push through the pedals better every day! This will improve skills while having fun! He was so excited to ride his tryke! The tryke was purchased in a joint effort by LVECU and the Krysta Hankee Memorial Fund. A big thank you to a caring Lehigh Valley Educators Credit Union community ! Tryke selection and fitting were coordinated by The Lehigh Valley Steel Force Friends Chapter of National AMBUCS.

A New Bike for Malakai

January 5, 2018 By Christine

The Krysta Hankee Memorial Fund recently had the pleasure to celebrate our partnership with Lehigh Valley Educators Credit Union members and administrators by donating an adaptive tryke and helmet to Malikai. Since his Brachial Plexius injury, received at birth, he’s needed surgeries and physical therapy to develop strength and the range of motion of his arm. His therapists at Cindy Miles and Associates worked with him on his new specialized hand tryke . This will improve these skills while having fun! He was so excited to ride his tryke and was so happy he could take it home to ride. A big thank you to a caring Lehigh Valley community!

Kristin Kohler of LVECU is pictured with Bill and Chris Hankee, Malikai on his new tryke and his mother Lourdes. Malikai received his new ride at Cindy Miles and Associates coordinated by Lehigh Valley Steelforce.
