WHITE BIRCH GOLF COURSE

The Krysta Hankee Memorial Golf Tournament was held on September 27, 2008 at White Birch Golf Course in Barnesville. After a brief rain shower the 130 golfers enjoyed very comfortable golfing weather. Through great efforts of the organizers and volunteers $11,000 was raised for the Krysta Hankee Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund provides grants to graduating high school seniors planning to further their education.

The tournament consisted of several events. The golfers participated in a shotgun golf scramble. Prizes donated by the major golf courses in our area were awarded to the top 3 teams and 1 random team was chosen to receive tickets to golf at Bear Rock Junction Golf Course.

The golfers and friends also participated in a Golf Ball Drop 50/50 raffle, a Chinese Auction, Basket of Cheer and other raffles. Golfers enjoyed a delicious meal and desserts donated by various businesses, family members and friends.

Next year’s tournament will be held September 26, 2009
at White Birch Golf Course.There will be 2 Tee Off times at 8:00 and 1:00.
